Leonard B. Jastremski, 87, passed away Sept. 4, 2019. Survived by wife of 67 years, Peggy Jastremski; daughter, Gerry (Peter) Smith; grandchildren, Nichole Milt, Heather Smith and Jeremy Jastremski; great-grandchildren, Madison, Liam, Nathan, Matthew, Willow, Leonard and Wyatt; sister, Lottie Kubik; and sisters-in-law, Carol Blackwell, Nora (Jim) Knight, Bernice Moore, Joanne Dean and Tanya Dean. Preceded in death by son, Leonard 'Smokey' Jastremski, Jr.; and brothers, Benjamin and Thaddeus Jastremski. Leonard was born in Wilkes Barre, Pa. and retired from the Air Force after 23 years of service. Leonard was an assistant golf pro at the Kuilima Hotel in Oahu, Hawaii. He received his Master's Degree from USC-Pueblo. He owned Northside Liquor store in Pueblo and worked at MacDonald Douglas. He enjoyed golf, darts, shooting pool, card games, traveling, loving his family, spending time with friends and church. Leonard was a member of Eagle Ridge Fitness Center. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019, at Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 414 W. 11th Street. Interment, with full military honors, 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019, at Mountain View Cemetery.   1. So sorry to learn of Len’s passing. He was a very funny and kind person. I knew him when we worked together on the McDonnell Douglas Delta II rocket program. He also knew my father Art Luna very well. My prayers go out to his family.
