  1. Dear Ruthie, Debbie, Peggy, John and all of your families. I am so sorry for your loss. I still can hardly believe it. Lela was one of my best friends. We worked at Lawyers Title back in the ’80’s. We had great times together. She was a dear person who was there to support you no matter what the issue. I moved to Arizona in 1987. She helped me have two yard sales to get ready to move. What a friend! It was a lot of work, but we also had a lot of fun. I was really homesick after I moved, and Lela wrote me often, every few days if I remember right. We still talked now and then. I will miss her letters. She was always sending me an article from the paper she thought I might be interested in. We were so sorry to hear about Vincent. He was a great guy, too. He used to record shows on Hallmark Channel – Janette Oaks, because we didn’t get the channel. How thoughtful! They made a good pair, and I know how much she missed him. I’m sad I never got to visit her at the Primrose. I’m happy she got to enjoy it there. It sounds like they kept them busy.
I will never forget Lela and all the wonderful things she did for and gave me. She was a very special person, and I will miss her greatly. Your parents were very proud of all of their family, and they loved all of you so much. You are in our prayers!
Love, Joyce, Steve, an Brenda Harvey

  4. Debbie – Peggy – Richie – Many laughs I had with your Mom when I was your neighbor on Court St. (across the street from your house). Every year she would send me a Christmas card with a nice letter updating me on what all of you kids were doing( this was after I moved to Lakewood). She truly was a friend that I will cherish. She and I use to watch you, Richie, and Keith, our son, play in the front yards and laugh our socks off at you both…..Thank you for sharing her with all of us. God blessed you kids with wonderful parents. May our Lord give you strength at this time…..God Bless Marsha – Blaine, my husband, Keith Walters – Cindy Walters Decked

  6. I will miss my breakfast buddy, so much. We enjoyed discussing her family and mine and the long, close family history we shared. An irreplaceable loss in my life as I’m sure she was in the lives of many others. So sad she is gone.
