Laura M. Shaufler, 93, passed away July 15, 2010. Survived by her son, Gary (Linda) Shaufler of Pueblo; grandchildren, Kristine (Burt) Trujillo of Pueblo West, Debbie (Pete) Shaufler and Vanessa (Anthony) Rendon, both of Pueblo; three great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Rex Shaufler; son, Carl Shaufler; and daughter, Dallas Hijar. Laura was born Oct. 2, 1916, in Ravenden, Ark. She loved family gatherings, camping and fishing. She was a member of Park Hill Christian Church where she thoroughly enjoyed her church family and activities. Thank you to the staff at Sangre de Cristo Hospice, Joni Fair Hospice House, Life Care Center of Pueblo and Villa Pueblo Senior Living for the care they gave Laura. A special thank you to her caregiver, Lisa Romero and Arlene Weimer, PhD. Viewing from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral service, 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Pastor Dean Prophet and the Rev. Randy Heaton officiating.   1. We were Mrs. Shauflers next door neighbors, we really cared for her. Our kids spent a lot of time with her visiting and sharing treats they would take to her. We are going to miss her so much.
