Larry L. McCartee, 78, passed away May 11, 2019, at his home surrounded by family. Preceded in death by daughter, Tammy Lee McCartee; parents, Mary Anne (Norton) and Ralph McCartee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin (Louise) McCartee, Lavon McCartee, Lyle (Elsie) McCartee and Verlon McCartee. Survived by loving wife, Beverly; daughter and favorite son-in-law, Jacqueline (Kenneth) Riggs; son, Lyle McCartee; sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn McCartee and Carolyn (Jerry) Spencer; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Annie Bruce; numerous step-grandchildren; step-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service, 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2019, in the Montgomery & Steward Funeral Chapel. Graveside service with military honors will be held, noon Monday, May 20, 2019, at Pike's Peak National Cemetery. Bev, Jackie, Lyle, Ken Jeffrey and Annie, you have been in my thoughts for the past several days. I am sorry I could not be with you in person to give you comfort at this sad time. Continue to speak out loud of all the special times, the silly times and even the “ho hum” times with Larry so his spirit will continue to live on forever. Love and care to all, Cookie

Beverly, Jackie, Lyle and family, I am so sorry to hear of Mr. McCartee’s passing. Back growing up on Cheyenne, he seemed to me to be a strong, kind, gentle giant. That’s how I will always remember him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Larry was a special light in my family’s life. He was a true man’s man. Such a Spirit! Always an Irishman at Heart. Bless Beverly and his family at this and future times.
GOD has called him home, and I know hes with family and friends there. Lord Jesus greeted him I’m sure!
