Larry Edward Bachelor, 74, born August 17, 1931, in Greeley, Colo. Died June 26, 2006, in Pueblo, Colo. Preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Elaine Bachelor. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy Bachelor; children, Karen Lattie, Gary (Bonnette) Bachelor, Jody (Jim) Stonebraker; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Jacqueline (Walt) Soles and Marie (Glen) Johnson; stepmother, Caroline Smith; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and two dogs. Larry served in the U.S. Air Force, was a member of SonRise United Methodist Church and retired from the Colorado Hwy. Department and, also worked as a bank courier. Larry and Nancy raised their children in Pueblo during which time Larry was a Cub Scout leader, 4-H leader, a softball coach and he was an active member of Vineland United Methodist Church. Job Transfers took Larry to several positions arount the state before retiring to Pueblo. During retirement, Larry and Nancy enjoyed several years of traveling around the country in their RV, and visiting family and friends. Larry was very devoted to his family, enjoyed traveling, family get-togethers, loved animals, baseball, NASCAR racing, fishing and reminiscing with his buddies. Memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2006, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Graveside service with military honors 10 a.m., July 3, 2006, at Ft. Logan Cemetery, in Denver. Special appreciation to Dr. Barry Rapp, Dr. John Harrington and the staff at Parkview NICU. Memorials may be made to the SonRise United Methodist Church or the Lazarus Pet Fund through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, CO 81003.
