LaLonna Meoska was born in January on Friday the 13th, 1939, in Colorado Springs, CO and passed away on June 18, 2023. Preceded in death by husband, Lyle and sister, Carol O’Dailey. She is survived by her sister, Anne Strawhecker; and several nieces and nephews. LaLonna truly enjoyed her life to the fullest. She retired from Aquila Corporation in 1995, after 30 years of service. She always had a fondness for Pueblo since attending ninth grade at Keating Junior High. She graduated from West High in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She and Lyle, traveled extensively throughout the world and the United States. LaLonna had many interests including, the Green Bay Packers, golf, gardening, knitting, entertaining and enjoying her friends. As a friend, she would like you to raise a glass of wine and toast to the life that she enjoyed so much. LaLonna truly believed the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center was and is the gem of Pueblo. Those who wish, may make a donation to the center in memory of her. I worked with LaLonna at Southern Colorado Power Company/Aquila. She was one of my 1st mentors and I learned so much from her, I am forever grateful. She was also a friend and confidant, we shared many “secrets”. LaLonna was a very colorful woman, some of the stories she told me still make me smile. Until we meet again dear friend, rest in peace 🕊️united with Lyle❤️
Aunt Nonna, as I have called her since birth, always showed such genuine kindness and loving affection to me, as her niece. She always had such high hopes for me. Sixty years later, I believe her hopes were not in vain.
I don’t know if Aunt Nonna believed in Jesus Christ as her Savior, and if she did I will see her again!
