LaJune (Sartor) Macaluso, 71, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 29, 2022. She is survived by children, Melissa Needham and Aaron (Kelli) Flick; siblings, Janet (Jerry) Valentine and Butch (Sue) Sartor; father of her children and lifelong best friend, Dal Flick; grandchildren, Nicole Parise, Tyler (Michelle) Medina, Brett Needham, Corey Flick, Berrye Flick and Matthew Gonzales; great-grandchildren, Brandyn, Jayden, Sienna, Aguilar and Beau Medina; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by her daughter, Jeannett Flick; father, Raymond Sartor, Sr.; mother, Louise Sartor; sisters, Jane Steir and Bonnie Goodrich; brother, Donnie Sartor; niece, Raelene Steir; and nephews, Bruce Valentine, Quenten Valentine, Michael Sartor, Danny Sartor and Richie Sartor.

LaJune was born to Ray and Louise Sartor on April 25, 1951, in La Junta, Colo. She worked as a bartender for several years and then as an Assistant Manager at the Belmont Square Apartments. LaJune enjoyed music, her kids, grandkids and watching “her guys” on Chicago Wednesdays. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium with no services.

  1. I went to school with LaJune. From Jr high at Heston to high school at East. I think we went to grade school together too at Franklin. Heck of a place to find her. I lost track of her after high school.
