Kirk Derichsweiler, 49, passed away Dec. 12, 2011. Survived by his parents, Mary Helen and Eugene Derichsweiler; lifetime companion and mother of his son, Lauri Martin; son, Josh Martin; siblings, Gena Ryder, Dana (Xanthe) and Erik (Tammy); nieces and nephews, Nicholaus (Jennifer), Nichole, Seth, Megan, Sarah and Josh; and by his puppies, Kirby and Sadie. Kirk was born in Denison, Texas and was a 1980 graduate of Pueblo East High School. He worked as a quality inspector at JM Eagle for 28 years and was named national employee of the year in 2009. Kirk was an avid mountain bike cyclist, patinate outdoors man and mountain survivalist. Memorial service, 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at Christ the King Parish, 1708 Horseshoe Dr. In Kirk's remembrance, please donate life and sign up to be an organ donor and live strong.   1. To the Derichsweiler family I am so sorry for you loss. I remember Kirk from East High school. Kirk was a great guy who had a super personality. I had heard through Glen Schaffer that Kirk was sick. May God bless you all during this difficult time in your life. RIP Kirk

  2. I am very sad to hear of Kirks passing. I was friends with Josh and use to live on White Pl. I have many good memories of hanging out with Josh and Kirk. They were the first to introduce me to Metallica! My thoughts and prayers are with the Derichsweiler family.

    I have so many fond memories of Kirk, starting with growing up across the street on White Place, to becoming reaquainted with him in college when Laurie and I were in nursing school together. I always looked up to him as a friend and incredibly strong man with amazing character. His presence on this earth will be missed. God bless.

  4. I used to live across the street on White Place and some of my best memories were with Kirk and the Derichsweiler family. Our street was on a hill and the during the winter and we, Dana, Kirk, and Eric would go sleding down the street and jump from one sled to the other and try and knock each other off. i didn’t know it but it was one of the best times of my life.

    Kirk, we’ll miss you.

  9. i am sorry for the loss of kirk. i am donna from fresenius dialysis unit who helped care for him before his kidney transplant. i will forever cherish my fond memories he and i shared.he was very special to me.
