Kenneth Wesley Medill, 83, of Rye, Colorado, passed away Feb. 9, 2005. Survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Mary Medill; children, Kenneth (Patty) Medill of Tulsa, Okla., Kathy (Lewis) Edmundson of Walsenburg, Larry (Melissa) Medill of Rye and Leonard (Becky) Medill of Bixby, Okla.; brothers, Harold (Diane) Medill of Rye and Harlow (Jan) Medill of Cedaredge, Colo.; sisters-in-law, Ruth Medill of Sun City, Ariz., Betty (Doulgas) Jones of Spokane, Wash. and Ruth Branyan of Tupelo, Miss.; brother-in-law, Jack (Caroline) Sikes of Pueblo County; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Katie Medill; infant twin sister, Katherine; and brother, Earl Medill. Wesley was born May 21, 1921, in Pueblo. He served in the 888th Signal Company attached to the Air Force in the South Pacific during WWII. He worked in Special Weapons at the Pueblo Army Depot and retired as Equipment Maintenance Supervisor in 1972. Wesley was a 70 year member of Rye Home United Methodist Church, member of Rye/Colorado City Lions Club and served on the Board of the Rye Fire Department. Special thanks to the EMT's at Rye Fire Department and the staff at St. Mary Corwin Hospital 2200 Ward and to home care provider, Diane Praker. Viewing at the funeral home Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, from 1 to 5 p.m. with the family present to receive friends. Followed by cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 2 p.m. Sat., Feb. 12, 2005, at Rye Home United Methodist Church. Military honors by Pueblo Veterans' Ritual Team. Private interment, Brookside Cemetery.
