Kathy Anita Brown, 49, passed away Sept. 2, 2010. Kathy was born in Lexington, Kentucky May 8, 1961, and was preceded in death by the love of her life, Paul Vigil. She is survived by her son, Paul Vigil, Jr. of Pueblo; parents, Beverly and David Switzer of Kentucky; in-laws, Del and Virginia Haning of Pueblo; brothers, Jeff (Cristi) and Tag; sisters, Dana (Nathan) and Shawn (Bruce) all of Kentucky; sisters-in-law, Michelle (Lee) of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Amy E. (Lenny) and Ember of Pueblo and Amy L. of Oregon.
Kathy was a respiratory therapist at St. Mary Corwin Hospital until kidney failure forced her retirement in 2002. Through all of the long battle with renal failure, she always had a positive, cheerful attitude. She enjoyed being with her son Paul, reading her Bible and going to the movies with her niece, Cayla Peaslee.
Memorial service, 3 p.m. Sunday Sept. 5, 2010, at First Church of the Nazarene, 84 Stanford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathy's name to the First Church of the Nazarene Building Fund at 84 Stanford, Pueblo, Colo. 81005. Online condolences, www.montgomerysteward.com
My thoughts go out to little Paul and the rest of the family. Your mom is in a much better place and not suffering any longer. Her and Paul are now together for eternity. Love to the whole family.
