Kathleen Ann Long, 54, passed away April 2, 2009. Survived by her husband of 36 years, Marlin Long; children, Jeanette Thurston and Jared (Kindra) Long, all of Pueblo West; mother, Betty Packham of State College, Pa.; sisters, Gillian (Dan) Roland of Boalsburg, Pa., Sandy (Tim) Thomas of Montoursville, Pa., Jolene (Dave) Waldrab of CoganStation, Pa., Pam (Keith) Hilderbrandt of Hamden, N.Y. and Shirley (Dick) Kooken of Tyrone, Pa.; grandchildren, Taylor Garber, Brooke Thurston and Caleigh Thurston. Preceded in death by her father, Wilson Mark. Kathleen was born June 2, 1954, in Loganton, Pa. She worked at Colorado Bluesky and other private organizations which serve the physically challenged, for almost 20 years. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 2 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Rick Calhoun officiating. Online condolences, www.montgomerysteward.com

  7. Kathy is a very important part of my life. I remember how we met 25 years ago and how we “grew up” together during those years. It was hard not to look at her as as a sister especially during the times that she helped my family and me. This is a very sad loss. I will always treasure her and her family in my heart. I love you too Marlan, Jeanette, and Jared.
