Katherine "Kit" Lee Chapiewsky

Katherine “Kit” Lee Chapiewsky, 68, passed away Dec. 6, 2022. Survived by her younger brother, Frank (Julie) Cardio III and her cat Iggy. Preceded in death by her father, Frank Cardio Jr., mother, Mary Lou Cardio; brother, Gerald Marc Cardio; husband, Dennis “Butch” Chapiewsky. Kit was born to Frank and Mary Lou Cardio on May 26, 1954, in Oak Park, Ill. She worked at Premier Mortgage Services. Kit and Butch were avid boaters, enjoying houseboating on lake Powell and speed boats on the Pueblo Reservoir. They owned a villa in Baja Mexico and loved family, friends and music. Memorial service, 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Kit will be laid to rest with her mother, father and brother at Evergreen Memorial Park.
