Karen Lynn (May) Harrison Sunrise November 3, 1950 - Sunset November 17, 2017 Beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Karen was born to William Robert Sr. and Mary Alice May in Pueblo, Colorado on November 3, 1950. She grew up in Pueblo, attended District 70 schools, graduating from Pueblo County High School in 1968. She attended Southern Colorado State College graduating with a degree in Business. Over the years, she continued her advanced studies in Nutrition at several schools to include the University of Hawaii. Karen married Rick Harrison in July 1971. Together they shared a life of adventure and travel around the world during his USAF military career retiring in Colorado Springs in 1993. Karen was a second mom to all her nieces and nephews and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a lifelong student of nutrition, always researching and expanding her knowledge to help others. She loved all animals, especially her puppies and horses. What a rich life she had, full of meaning and purpose, always sharing and giving of her time with all who knew her. Survived by husband of 47 years Rick Harrison, mother Mary Alice May, brothers William Robert Jr. (Jacque) May, Chuck (Anna) May, Dan (Karolyn) May, sister Debbie (Tony) Frankmore, brother-in-law Paul Harrison, Uncle Riley Gust and Aunts Mildred Mattingly and Kathryn Gust and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and loving friends. She was preceded in death by father William Robert May Sr., In-laws Paul W. and Laura M. Harrison, Grandparents Sterling and Minion Gust and William and Dorothy May. Service will be held at Grace Community Bible Church, 1405 25th Lane, Pueblo, Colorado, 81006, on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 10:30 AM, reception to follow. Memorials may be made to the no kill animal shelter: 'Paws for Life', 800 North Pueblo Blvd., Pueblo Colorado 81003.
