Karen E. Taylor, 61, of Pueblo West, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013. Survived by her husband of 39 years, Alan Taylor; daughters, Crystal (David) Rider and Melissa (Ted) George; six young granddaughters; sister, Barbara (Mike) Lenaburg; mother-in-law, Wanda (Ben) Taylor; as well as numerous family and friends. Preceded in death by her father, Howard McCall; and father-in-law, Oletis Taylor. Karen was born in southern California on Nov. 27, 1951. She raised her children in Fresno, Calif. and then moved her family to Colorado in 1997. Karen enjoyed gardening, scrap booking, shopping and spoiling her grandchildren. She was devoted to her family and a true friend to all who were close to her. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 10:00 am Thurs., Oct. 3, 2013, at Praise Assembly of God, 2000 Troy Ave. Memorials may be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice & Palliative Care through the funeral home. Richard and I are very sad to hear of Karen’s illness, now her passing. Just know she is in a better home and is a kindred spirit above us all. Relish in the memories and her values she left you all with. You all are in our prayers during this very difficult time.
