Judy L. (Moody) Holden, 82, passed away peacefully September 13, 2024, at home with her loved ones by her side. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Eugene and Louise Novell on June 19, 1942. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond J. Holden; sister, Patricia Harris; and in-laws, Carl and Jennie Holden. She is survived by her loving daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Herbel; grandchildren, Carson and Hadley Herbel; sister, Linda Gisler; brother, Robert (Sharon) Novell; as well as her bonus children, Elizabeth Holden (Greg Vendetti), Cary (Oswaldo) Gutierrez-Holden, Megan (Gordon) Kordyak, Eddie (Bethany) Holden, Larry (Candi) Holden, Annie Holden and Robert Holden; and 14 bonus grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Tracy (Jay) Rushing, Jeff (Ginger) Harris, Kellie Harris (Todd), and Bobbie (Jennifer) Harris; 5 great-nephews, Sean, Patrick, Michael, Robbie, and JT. In addition, she is survived by many special people in her life, including David (Gloria) Moody, Glenda (Ron) Renoux, and a host of others. Judy went to college at Central Missouri State university and was a teacher for many many years, eventually teaching for the Colorado Department of Corrections until she retired. She was never shy about sharing her wealth of knowledge with anyone who was willing to listen to her. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Judy was an amazing mother, grandmother, and friend. Judy was devoted Christian.   She will be forever loved and forever missed.

A memorial service to be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, in the Montgomery & Steward Funeral Chapel in Pueblo, Colorado.
