Service For Judy Butcher:
Judith LaVerne Butcher, 82, passed away Nov. 19, 2021. Survived by her husband, James H. Butcher; daughter, Denise E. Tucci (Jerome Szewczynski); grandsons, Ryan J. Tucci and Dominic R. Tucci (Ali Thibault); sisters Bonnie Johnson (Glen), Virginia Ricky (Bob) and Sylvia Marsolf; and sister-in-law, Sandra Springfield. Preceded in death by her son, Darren R. Butcher; brother, Richard L. Springfield; and parents, John and Gertrude Springfield.
Judy was born Nov. 3, 1939, in Wichita, Kan. She was an actress in “The Odd Couple” with the Impossible Playhouse. She was a master Gardner and owned Judy’s Jungle plant shop. Judy excelled at large family gatherings. Prepared all the meals for many people, while being the perfect hostess. She was an artist for decades and taught many classes. She was also a member of Pikes Peak Painters. She was a successful Real Estate Broker, the perfect wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother. If you needed to know how to clean something – she knew how! Scuba diver, snow and water skier, softball player and a great bowler. Judy was both a domestic and world traveler.
She made Jim Butcher happy and successful for 57 years. Judy was a happy, positive and determined person.
People wanted to be around her because she was smart and fun. Her pets thought they had died and gone to heaven. All her nieces wanted to be “Aunt Judy”. She was the favorite aunt.
