Judith Catherine Mestas, 65, born Nov. 4, 1944, in Las Vegas, N.M., passed away Nov. 28, 2009. Survived by her mother, Martha Martinez of Pueblo; children, Joseph Steve (April) Mestas, Jr. of Longmont, Colo., Michelle (Sergio) Mestas-Bravo of Pueblo and Madelena Varela of Pueblo; three sisters; one brother; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Preceded in death by her father, Fred W. Martinez; one sister; one brother; and one grandson. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Deacon Michael LaConte officiating. Online condolences, MontgomerySteward.com
