Joseph M. 'Mack' Gettler, 71, passed away May 28, 2009. Survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda; children, Ray (Jamie) of Decatur, Ala., Ben (Penny) of Albuquerque, N.M., Candida 'Connie' of Greeley, Colo. and Andrew of Hesperia, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Pamela of Littleton, Colo.; aunt, Flora Cordova of Pueblo; 11 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws; and his faithful companion, his dog, Shyla. Preceded in death by his son, Alex; and parents, Candida and Joseph M. Gettler, Sr. Mack was born Jan. 15, 1938, in Pueblo. He retired from Colorado Department of Corrections. He loved sports, and was an avid Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies fan. Mack was a member of Knights of Columbus and former member of Footprinters.
There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial Mass, 11 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2009, at Christ the King Church, 1708 Horseshoe Dr., with Msgr. Thomas Adrians V.G. as celebrant. Online condolences, www.montgomerysteward.com
