Joseph Anthony 'The Bear' Mantini Jr., 61. After four years of his journey with cancer, Joseph A. Mantini Jr. went home to be with the Lord on June 11, 2015, at his home surrounded by family and friends. Born Feb. 28, 1954, in Walsenburg, Joseph was the third of four children born to Joseph and Martha Mantini. Joseph was preceded in death by both parents; and one sibling, Rocco. Survived by his loving wife, Mary Mantini; son, Joseph Mantini 111 and brother, Michael Mantini all of Pueblo; aunt, Ann Mantini of Walsenburg; sister, Lucille (Pete) Lucero of Denver; granddaughters, Jessica and Amber of Pueblo; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Memorial service, 2 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2015, at Temple Baptist Church, 3030 Thatcher Ave. Dress Code: Colorful. Bring a written note of a favorite memory of Joseph. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Faith Baptist Church, 169 S. 30-1/2 Lane, Pueblo, CO 81006, to further Joseph's ministry.
Joseph was a wonderful friend. I and many will miss him tremendously. RIP my friend, Joseph…Brother Bear. We will watch over Honey Bear as I’m sure you will also. Love and miss you, Linda…Hugs
