Joseph A. Massarotti, a/k/a Joe Mass, 78, passed away July 9, 2020. Survived by his son, Joe Q., daughter-in-law, Shannon, grandchildren, Ella & Mason, all of Parker, CO; daughter, Alberta, son-in-law, David Gaskill of Bloomingdale, NJ. Fur doggy grandsons; Max, Frankie, and Rocky; sisters-in-law, Rose Prado (Pueblo, CO), Dottie Casper (Las Vegas, NV), and Juanita Traylor (New Market, MD); brothers-in-law, Anthony Sanchez (Pueblo, CO) and Manny (Sheri) Sanchez (Vista, CA); niece, Ree Roybal (Pueblo, CO); nephew, Tommy Roybal (Long Beach, CA); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and close friends. Preceded in death by his wife, Joann; parents, Albert & Rose Massarotti; brother, Tommy Massarotti; sister, Roseann Massarotti; sister-in-law, Katherine Sanchez; brothers-in-law, Tom, Richard, Donald, and Michael; and numerous Aunts & Uncles. Born March 19, 1942, to Albert & Rose Massarotti, in Pueblo, CO. Worked at the US Postal Service for 30 years. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, watching sports on TV especially the Rockies and Nuggets, watching old western movies and pastime hobbies he enjoyed was going to the dog track, bowling, hanging out with friends, and painting/drawing.
Visitation, 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2020, in the Montgomery Steward Funeral Chapel
Rosary, 9 a.m. followed by funeral Mass, 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2020, at Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 414 W. 11th St. Military honors by Pueblo Veteran’s Ritual Team and interment, Roselawn Cemetery.
