Jose 'Joe' Filberto Lovato, born in Sopris, Colorado having been blessed with 66 years of love and living, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Beatrice; sons, Steven and Sam; and the joys of his life, grandchildren, Madison and Lucas. He is survived by his mother, Rose; brother, John; sister, Dorothy (Jim) Dennis; brothers-in-law, Bob, Ralph, Rich, Jim and Tony (Carrie) Trujillo, and Claude Gilliland; sisters-in-law, Irene (Paul) Vickles, Marie Butt and Therese (Dale) Maragee. He had a profound love for his family and faith and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Preceded in death by his father, Epimenio; and sister, Tina. Mass, 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at Christ the King Parish, 1708 Horseshoe Dr., with Monsignor Thomas M. Adrians as celebrant. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery.
