Johnie M. Dickson, 67, passed away February 10, 2003. Survived by her loving husband, Robert P. 'Bob' Dickson, M.D. of the family home; daughters, Deliese (Paul) Catterson of Olympia, Wash. and Mary Beth Dickson of Aurora, Colo.; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Catterson of Olympia, Wash.; siblings, Robert Mitchell of Ft. Worth, Texas, June Lyon of Farmington, Ark. and Butch Mitchell of Bella Vista, Ark. Johnie was born October 24, 1935, in Charleston, Arkansas, receiving her education at the University of Arkansas, subsequently teaching elementary school in Oklahoma and Arkansas. She married Bob, her college sweetheart, in 1956, and they moved to Pueblo in 1966 when her husband began his radiology practice. Johnie was a lifelong Sunday school teacher and active member of Ascension Episcopal Church, P.E.O. Chapter EE, St. Mary-Corwin Auxiliary, Junior/Service League, a docent at the Sangre de Cristo Art Museum, and served on the Board of Sacred Heart. Johnie and her husband enjoyed playing duplicate bridge and were avid bird watchers until she developed pancreatic cancer. As per request, there will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2003, at Ascension Episcopal Church, 18th and Grand, with the Reverend Dr. Ephraim Radner officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Ascension Episcopal Church Columbarium. A reception will follow the inurnment at the Pueblo Country Club. In lieu of food and flowers, those who wish may make memorials to the Youth Fund at Ascension Episcopal Church.
