John R. Hamilton

John R. Hamilton, 94, passed away February 2, 2003. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Ada M. Hamilton; children, Marilyn (Wendell) Edwards and Russell (Gloria) Hamilton; sister, Ida Adams; grandchildren, Wendy Edwards-McComas, Sheila (Jeff) Edwards-Weiss, John (Erin) Hamilton, Jerry Hamilton, and Rob (Darlene) Schow; great-grandchildren, Karly and Maggie Weiss and Brooke Schow; numerous nieces and nephews. John was born October 23, 1908, in Eustace, Texas. He retired from the Colorado State Hospital as a Senior Psych Tech., was an active member of Parkhill Baptist Church, and a member of Pueblo Lodge No. 17, AF&AM, for 53 years. He will lie in state at the funeral home Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2003, at Parkhill Baptist Church, 4235 Parkhill Place, with Pastors, Doug Cox and Lonnie James officiating. Masonic rites and interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of John R. Hamilton to Parkhill Baptist Church.
