Even though John was limited by cerebral palsy, he touched hundreds of lives. He lived life with joy, enthusiasm, and Irish orneriness. Life was good! Through his presence we learned to treat all people with respect, value, and to look past other’s limitations.
John’s favorite things in life were his family, especially his nieces and nephews, his “babies”. He loved his loyal caregivers, Kathy, Patty, Crystal, Patrice, and all the staff at Maxim Health Care Services and BASS. There are countless professionals that kept John healthy and safe over his lifetime. John had an incredible quality of life with their care and dedication. Our family will be forever grateful for everyone’s hard work and devotion.
John loved all celebrations, especially Christmas. He loved going to the Colorado State Fair and socializing in the community. He participated in the Special Olympics and Tim Tebow’s Night to Shine Prom which gave John wonderful opportunities to express himself. John graduated from East High School in 1983. He attended Colorado Bluesky Enterprises through the BASS Day Program. He collected keys, pens, watches, sunglasses, and hats as well as having a love for fast cars and fire trucks. 9. CandleImageI will never forget how excited John would get when discussing cars or the look on his face when Uncle Bob and my dad, Dick, entered the room. They did look somewhat alike but he just couldn’t figure out why there was two of them. I already decided John has made an appointment with God to get the keys to heaven so he could add them to his collection. John you were a special person we will miss. You are free now so go in peace with our blessings. Enjoy our family members who have gone before you. Love, Ron and Pam
