John Liner Walker, 81, passed away Oct. 8, 2018. Survived by wife, Barbara Jewel Walker; daughters, Laura Smith and Lanette (Ken) Cid; four grandchildren, Shavone Smith, Nathan Smith, Daniel Cid and Abigail Cid; and one great-grandson, Gabriel Murillo. Preceded in death by mother, Etta Walker; brother, Loyd Walker; sister, Beatrice Harris; father-in-law, Don Peats, Sr.; and mother-in-law, Edith Peats. John was born in 1937, in Ruston, La. He was a principal of Craver Middle School and a teacher at Vineland Middle School. John enjoyed reading and studying his Bible and history and enjoyed working outside with trees, plants and flowers. He was a member of Pueblo First Church of the Nazarene. Viewing, from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral service, 10 A.M. Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, at Pueblo First Church of the Nazarene, 84 Stanford. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery. Online condolences, www.montgomerysteward.com
