John L. Whitney, 78, passed away April 18, 2012. Survived by his brother, Neil; step-daughter, Vicky; nieces and nephews, Jim and Patty, Kenneth and Beth, Donald and Lanna, Julie, Jason, Anna and David, Cora, Whitney and Gena. John was born Dec. 4, 1933, to Leon and Anna Whitney in Keystone, S. D. At his request, there will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Service, 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Rick Calhoun officiating.
