John L. Hughes

John L. Hughes, 75, formerly of Walden, Colo., most recently living in Raton, N.M., passed away on March 23, 2008, in Pueblo, Colo. Survived by his loving wife, Shirley F. Hughes, of the family home in Raton, NM; children, Ron (Janis) Hughes of Green River, WY, Gerald Hughes of Ft. Collins, CO, JoAnn Sauvage of Grand Junction, CO, Debbie Rundell of Green River, WY; sister, Frances (Bill) Oliver of Colorado Springs, CO; brother, Paul (Betty) Hughes of Montrose, CO; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. John was born August 19, 1932, in Colorado Springs, CO, to John L. and Belle Hughes. John loved the outdoors and his fishing. He worked in the lumber industry many years as a contractor supplying timber to the local mills. At his request there will be no viewing or service.
