John G. Dagnillo, 86, died peacefully with his family around him on March 6, 2015. Survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Elsie Dagnillo; son, John Dagnillo; granddaughter, Lucy Rose; sisters, Nicoletta Scurba, Josephine Pantello and Rose Fajt; in-laws, Edward (Darlene) Anzlovar, Donald (Shirley) Anzlovar; and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was born to Mike and Lucy Dagnillo on Oct. 28, 1928, in Pueblo. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and after 36 years of service, retired from CF&I having worked in the 40 Inch Mill. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, farming in St. Charles Mesa and going to Cripple Creek. Most importantly, he loved his family. Member of Eagles Aerie 145, Fidelity Lodge and American Legion Post 203.
Viewing, 4 to 6 p.m. Monday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at St. Mary Church, 307 E. Mesa Ave. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery.
