JoAnna J. (Balloga) Alber passed away June 25, 2009, in Pueblo West, Colo. Born at home in Pueblo, Colo. on July 13, 1927, to Georgia (Salmon) and Eugene Anderson who predecease her. Also predeceased by son, A. Eugene 'Gino' Balloga; and husbands, Roy Balloga and Jack Alber. Survived by daughter and son-in law, Georgianna and Rich Lipich; grandchildren, Amanda Joanna and Tim Garrett, Pueblo West, Sheri Lipich, Pueblo West and Richard Lipich (US Navy-Kuwait); great-grandchildren, Quincy and Trace Garrett, Andrew Lipich and Brenden Fouse, Ashley Lipich and Casey Thornton; special life-long friend, Bob Jackson. Also survived by many 'adopted children,' close cousins, dear friends and her 'furry children,' Tigger and Wyckett. JoAnna touched many lives during her nursing career. She was passionate about all animals, especially horses; a loyal Bulldog fan (Class of '45); loved Tai Chi (Thank you, Lil' Jo!), playing the piano, reading, lattes, watching sunsets, and her beloved Beulah Valley, which will be her final resting place.
