Jewell Marie Turpin-Jones

Jewell Marie Turpin-Jones passed away July 9, 2005, at St. Mary Corwin Hospital, in Pueblo, Colo. Jewell was born in Starkville, Colo. Preceded in death by her husband, Earl H. Jones in 2002; beloved daughter, Billie Laverne Allmon in 1996; parents, Wilthom William and Lorencita (Muniz) Turpin; brothers, Major Garfield Robert Turpin (Rtd.) U.S. Air Force, Louis Gonzales; sister-in-law, Mary Gonzales; and three nephews, all of San Jose, Calif.; and brother-in-law, Ralph Romero of Pueblo. Jewell is survived by her sisters, Flora Romero of Pueblo, Eva (Ross) Zamora of Westminster, Colo. and Mary (Floyd) Espinoza of Littleton, Colo; granddaughters, Valerie (James) Daos, Denyse McDonald and Yvette Vargas; and eight great-grandchildren, all of San Pedro, Calif. Also survived by sister-in-law, Mary Turpin of Ft. Worth, Texas; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jewell is also survived by special friend and caregiver, Arthur Rivas, his sister, Rosalie Rivas of Pueblo and their extended families from Albuquerque, N.M.; special friends, Bob and Ruby Molina of San Diego, Calif.; and many other friends. There will be no viewing or services. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. In lieu of food or flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Shelter of Pueblo in memory of Jewell.
