Jesse M. 'Mac' McPheeters, 94, passed away July 21, 2012. Survived by his children, Ron (Mary) McPheeters of Pueblo, Rusty McPheeters of Pueblo and Trudy Russell of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Nancy (Mark) Mumy, Susan (Hank) Cole, Ronny (Paula) McPheeters and Mike (Amy) Russell; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Tyler and Luke Cole, Grant and Vance McPheeters, Jared and Emma Russell, Mason, Jake and Paige Mumy; and beloved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn McPheeters; son-in-law, Richard Russell; and five siblings. Mac was born to Jesse J. and Sophia McPheeters on June 20, 1918, in Guide Rock, Neb. Evelyn and Mac were married April 13, 1941, in Grant, Neb. He retired from the finance department at the Pueblo Army Depot. He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry. Mac was an active member of First United Methodist Church where he served on the finance committee. The family thanks Dr. George Birks and his staff, the staff at Pavilion at Villa Pueblo and Belmont Lodge for the care they gave Mac. Viewing from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Private entombment prior to the service. Service, 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at First United Methodist Church, 310 W. 11th St., with the Reverend Dr. Rick Calhoun officiating.
