Jeffery T. 'Jeff' Serena, 33, departed this life on July 14, 2004. He was born in Pueblo Colo. on Jan. 3, 1971. He is predeceased by his grandfather, W. Deane Serena; and grandmother, Marjorie E. Seaman. He leaves to cherish his memory parents, Ray and Kathy Serena; siblings, Raylene (Anthony) Speechley, Robert (Velvet) Serena, Chris (Tracy) Serena, Bryan (Monica) Serena; grandparents; Helen Serena, Bernard and Robin Seaman, uncles and aunts; Ralph (Sydney) Seaman, John Seaman Mary Ellen (Jeff) Donley, Tom (Jude) Seaman. Jeff dearly loved his nieces and nephews; Kathlene Matic, Rebecca and David Speechley, Robert, Cameron and Alicia Serena, Shelby, Isaiah and Isabella Serena and Julianna Serena. He was especially fond of his cousins Colleen, Melissa, and Nolan Donley; Ashley Seaman, Brook (Bill) Black, Kerry (Jeremy) Thunburg, Katelyn, Ryan and Michael Seaman. Jeff touched many hearts with his love and sense of humor. He was a man of simple pleasures and taught us the virtues of patience, gentleness, kindness and strength. He enjoyed many wonderful friends. His Halloween party was a much- anticipated yearly event. He was especially close to Linda Ortega. Their special love for one another touched all around. Jeff particularly loved holidays and looked forward to family celebrations with great enthusiasm. We wish to thank Barbara Olthoff, Jesse Jordan, and Robin Hill for their loving assistance. We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Stephen Rust and his staff. We thank Sharon Yates at Colorado Bluesky, Pueblo Community Resources, and Jordan Residential Services. Jeff will be especially missed by his parents, who found their physical and spiritual lives woven together with his life. Jeff loved and was especially devoted to his Mother, who was totally committed to ensuring that his life was full of happiness. His Father was devoted to his well-being and considered Jeff his closest friend. We shared Jeff with many! He was proof that God sends angels to transform our lives. Viewing from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 18th, with recitation of the Rosary at 6 p.m. at Montgomery & Steward Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral Mass celebrating Jeff's life will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 19th, Our Lady of the Meadows Catholic Church, 23 Starling Drive, with Father Roger Dorcy as celebrant. The casket will be closed at the church. Interment at Roselawn Cemetery following the service. The family will then greet friends at a reception at Our Lady of the Meadows Hall. In lieu of food and flowers, contributions may be made to The Arc of Pueblo(in care of the funeral home) or send to 2705 Vinewood Lane, Pueblo, CO 81005. He left with great haste To be with his friends. Now, he's free to follow his dreams. Though we desperately tried We just couldn't hold him. So, we'll wait To be with him again.

    My heart goes out to you and yours. Our block won’t be as bright without Jeff’s smile.

    When I recall the time I spent babysitting Jeff I can only remember his laughter. He was so easy to please. The little brother I never had, I loved him very much.

    We were all fortunate to have had his spirit in our lives. He made our world a better place and now he has made Heaven a better place. Smiling and laughing, he is comfortable now.

    I had the honor of being in Mr. Serena’s speech class at PCC last fall, and the stories that Ray would tell us about Jeff were always a pleasure to hear. Thank you for sharing your son with everyone. God Bless your family.
