Service for Janice Lee Lewis:

Janice Lee Lewis was born in Pueblo, Colorado on January 13, 1938. She passed away on June 7, 2022, at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Lewis in January 2018 and her son, Raymond (Eddie) Lewis II in August 2015. She is survived by Cindy (Ron) Loughridge, Steve (Rhonda-Tezak) Lewis, and Rhonda (Timothy) Johnson. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren including Christopher Hall, Nicholas Hall, Tiffaney (Tony) Salerno, Stephanie (Chad) Pfeif and 11 great-grandchildren including Dominic Hall, Dion Hall, Luke Smith, Jennifer Smith, Harper Pfeif, Taylor Salerno, and Dawson Pfeif who all live in the Pueblo Area.

She attended Central High School where she met her soulmate, Ray. They were married for 67 years at the time of his passing. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved being a stay-at-home mom with her four young children. She later worked as an administrative assistant for State Farm Insurance. Janice was a dedicated swim mom and made many friends throughout her children’s swimming career. Her passion was cooking and baking. Her specialties were German chocolate cake, chocolate cake, flame room cake, cinnamon rolls, bread, and homemade pasta, especially ravioli. She loved to share her baked goods with family, friends, and neighbors. Her faith grew stronger over the years and most recently at The Oasis Christian Church in Pueblo West. Upon their request, Ray and Janice’s ashes will be combined and they will be interred together for eternity. She will be remembered most for her sense of humor and extraordinary loving and caring attitude towards everyone who crossed her path.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. We last met at our mutual grand daughter’s wedding in September almost four years ago. Just as pleasant as I remembered her. A lovely lady.

  2. Great memories of one of Central High School’s outstanding “Swim Moms.” Such a lovely lady with the best sense of humor who was a very devoted mother, grandma and great grandma. She loved her family and she loved all of us who were their friends. What a great person, strong and courageous, who leaves a great legacy of love, family and strength. My love and condolences to all. She will be deeply missed, no doubt, but would want you all to stay “family strong.” God’s blessings to all.

    A Fellow Wildcat,
    Lois Conatore-Houpe
