Service for Janet Rose Guarienti:

Our beloved mother, grandmother and wife, Janet Rose (Raye) Guarienti, 78, passed peacefully on Jan. 9, 2022. She was born to the late John and Elizabeth (Mendine) Raye on May 30, 1943, in Trinidad, CO. Janet was married to her high school sweetheart, true love and husband, Ronald “Snozz” Guarienti on Jan. 19, 1963, in Trinidad, Colo. This month they would have celebrated 59 years of marriage. Janet loved life and was surrounded by dear friends and family, too numerous to name, throughout her lifetime. One of her greatest joys was playing slot machines anywhere she could, including weekend trips to Wendover and Cripple Creek. Most importantly she loved spending time and making memories with her family. Highlights included Sunday gnocchi or spaghetti dinners and cookie-making while singing and dancing with the kids and grandkids.

Survived by her loving husband, Snozz Guarienti; children, Ron (Tammy) Guarienti, Cindy (Tony) Oguin and Lance (Dee) Guarienti; her pride and joy, otherwise known as her grandchildren, Anthony (Kristen) Olguin, Kenzie (Kyle) Fantin, Brooke, Nicole, Normandi and Luke Guarienti and Jayce Montoya; great-grandson, JJ Fantin; honorary grandson, Brandon Houser; siblings, Judith (August) Gagliardi, Elizabeth Stanley, John (Gina) Raye and Dagmar (Don) Simons; in-laws, Bill (Claudia) Guarienti and Nellie Guarienti; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.

Preceded in death by, Albert and Mary (Bergant) Guarienti, Johnabelle Micheliza, Bill and Roberta (Raye) Cox, Donald Guarienti, Bill Stanley, Darice Fabrizio and Cady E. Raye.

  10. So sorry for your loss. My Thursday lunch buddy will be missed. At our lunches we tried to solve all the worldly problems. We had known each other for many years but when Tammy and Ron got married, Janet declared us sisters. I will miss our chats. Rest in peace.

  11. I met Janet and Snozz when Tony & Cindy married, which goes back “just a few years”. The Olguin family took my son under their wing when we moved back to Pueblo Joey’s senior year and they have been our extended family. Janet was a very nice person and I enjoyed getting to know Janet and the Guierrenta family. Tony & Cindy’s wedding was an event we will always remember. I can still see all the unique decorations that filled the building/reception at the State Fair Grounds. Clem, Tony’s Dad and my husband, Bob, were both alive then and with Snozz to say they celebrated was an understatement. It was a joyous time and a wonderful memory to treasure. Janet looked so pretty the day of the wedding and she beamed with pride as the mother of the bride. She loved her family and was devoted to them. They say the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world………………..truer words have never been spoken. May she rest in peace. God has Janet in HIS keeping and all that were blessed with her love will have Janet in your hearts. My most heartfelt condolences are extended to each of you.
