James 'Jim' Proctor, 75, of Westcliffe, Colo., passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness on February 10, 2007. He was born August 15, 1931, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He is survived by his wife, Peggy
McIntosh; son, Ralph Ambrose of California, daughter, Ibby Ambrose of Indiana, brother, Charles Proctor and his wife, Alice of rural Westcliffe, 4 grandchildren, 9 nieces and 6 nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
He moved to Westcliffe in 1990 after retiring from Burroughs
Corporation. He designed and built the family home and he loved woodworking: making furniture, home furnishings and toys. Jim was active in many community organizations including, most recently, the
West Custer Library Friends, and the Experimental Aircraft Association.
