  1. To my Cousins Jackie, Jill and Jimmy:
This is such a huge loss for you and your children and also for our entire family. I will always remember what a kind man your Dad was and and how every time I saw he he had a smile on his face. I’m so sorry I was not able to make it to his service. The last time I saw him was when he was in the Nursing Home on Jones Avenue. I didn’t think he would remember me but he did!! We had such a nice visit that day and he asked how my Dad was doing. Now he is with your Mom and the rest of his family and his suffering his over.

  2. Dearest Jackie, Jill, James, & Family…

We are thinking of you & your family & are truly saddened to hear about the loss of your beloved Father, Jim… We’re sending our love & condolences to all of you at this difficult time…

You may not remember me & my sister but we were long time friends of Jim & Rose & Jim’s sister, Helen & then husband, Tom. We met Jim when we were only 9 & 10 years old through his sister, Helen, who worked at Park’s Drug Store where our family lived near by… Subsequently we all became wonderful friends/family. Helen & Tom married & Jim & Rose then married as well… We remain close with your cousins, Karen, Claudia, & Pammy…

Our wonderful friendship continued over the years though life took us all in different directions… but whenever we were so fortunate to meet up with Jim & Rose at a family or friends’ get together, at the grocery store, etc., your parents always happily welcomed us with big smiles & a warm hugs. Your dad was a very kind & gentle man & our fond memories of him will live in our hearts forever…

We pray you are comforted just knowing Jim was loved by many & he has now been welcomed home by our Heavenly Father while being greeted & reunited with his precious, Rose, & all his family & friends…

Peace, Prayers, Blessings, & Love to your family…

Sisters… Kathy Salimeno & Bev DeLeon

  3. Thank you Uncle Jim for always making every niece or nephew feel like they were your favorite!! Last time I saw you at Aunt Ruth’s it was like I was never gone for years! You were the kindest and warmest Uncle any of us could of asked for! Heaven is a better place now because all the Spiess’s are together!! Rest In Peace Uncle Jim until we meet again! All my love to Jackie,Jill Jimmy and your families!!
    Your cousin Claudia McIntyre Thurman
