James Edward Garrett, Jr., 42, passed away unexpectedly June 23, 2006. Survived by his wife, Marsha L. Lewis-Garrett of the family home in Pueblo West, Colorado; children, Shawn Garrett and Kamerin Turner of Indianola, Neb.; father, James E. Garrett, Sr.; sister, April Rasmussen of Colorado Springs; brothers, David Garrett of Pueblo, Keith Garrett of Denver and Josh Williams of Colorado Springs. Also survived by his step-children, Jaeson Iovinella and Timothy Iovinella; mother-in-law, Jerry Beth Lewis of Pueblo; and numerous cousins, including Ken (Mary) Sumpter. Preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Jean Garrett Williams on July 12, 1999. James was born on October 12, 1963, in Cañon City and was a longtime Pueblo area resident. He was an avid woodsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. At the time of his death, he was working for Shisler Concrete. Viewing at the funeral home Tuesday from 1 until 7 p.m. Funeral service, 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2006, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with the Rev. Earlene Cornell officiating. Interment will follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens. Those who desire may make memorials to the Greenway and Nature Center of Pueblo, c/o Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N.
