James Bonogofsky, 74, passed away May 6, 2014, doing what he loved most, playing golf. Survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Brenda (Dee) Pickett and Heidi (Phil) Marin; granddaughter, Carson Pickett; and grandsons, Nicolas and Dominic Marin. James was born April 3, 1940, in Carson, N.D. to Matt and Katie Bonogofsky. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. The years have passed by so fast…Kendra just mentioned the other day that “Carson, the girl that fell of my heifer when I was babysitting”, is graduating. She noticed it on facebook. We have 11 grandchildren now, with the oldest 9. I am trying to tell Kevin it is time to retire from ranching and be better grandparents. Miss you all!

  7. We were so saddened to read about Jim’s passing! He was such a great friend and terrific neighbor. This is a tremendous loss to the entire North Side Neighborhood. He will be sorely missed. Our hearts go out to Mary and the whole family.

  12. It was easy to see than Jim was the kind of guy you could like and could trust. I got a good firm (and I do mean firm) handshake from him the evening before he died, welcoming him back from Texas. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with all who loved him. We’re sorry we’ll miss the memorial service.

  14. Dear Mary and family, Jill and I were so saddened to hear of Jim’s passing. He was such a fine gentleman…..we were blessed to have known him. I am so glad we got to spend the time at the farm several weeks back, and again on “Birthday Sunday” at Adamsville Presbyterian Church last month.
