Isidoro I. Atencio, 97, passed away Nov. 8, 2016. Survived by his children, Gregorita Stella (Manuel) Cadena of Pueblo and Elsie T. (Edward) Raska of Colorado Springs; grandchildren, Lois (Rob) Woodworth, Brian (Laura) Cadena, Karen (Ken) Buechler, Donna (Cupert) Lira, Christine (Sean) Ogden, Melissa Cadena and Kevin (Andrea) Cadena;13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Victoria Ortiz; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Jennie B. Atencio; parents, Ramon and Sara Atencio; siblings, Luis Atencio, Eloisa Marquez and Sevilla Muniz. Isidoro was born Feb. 19, 1919, in Capulin, Colo. World War II Veteran, member of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and life member of the DAV. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Rosary service, 9 a.m. followed by memorial Mass Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 11th and Grand, followed by military honors.
