Irmgard G. Riesner, 96, passed away June 20, 2019. Survived by children, Rich (Phyllis) Riesner of Pueblo and Rosalyn (Harry 'Bud') Temple of Winchester, Mass.; grandchildren, Kristen (Louis) Chavez, Julianne (Mike) Hurley both of Pueblo, Leah (Craig Brown) Temple of Lowell, Mass. and Natalie Temple of Charlestown, Mass.; and great-grandchildren, Mitchel Chavez of Grand Junction, Kaitlyn Chavez, Jackson Dickerson, Maximo Dickerson, Chace Hurley and Maverick Hurley all of Pueblo, Duncan Brown and Vivian Brown of Lowell, Mass. Preceded in death by husband, Heinz Riesner; parents, Erna and Frank Karge; and sister, Eleanore Kaiser. Irma was born in Neukolln, Germany on July 13, 1922. She was employed by Sears from 1961 to 1982, during which time she became Assistant Store Manager. She retired in 1982 but returned to Sears as a stocking clerk in 1988. She then reretired in 2001. Irma was instrumental in cutting the ribbon to open the 'new' Sears store in the Pueblo Mall. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Sharmar Assisted Living and Sangre de Cristo Hospice for all they have done for her. Memorial service, 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made direct to a charity of your choice. RIP Ermi. I had the pleasure of working with her for a short time and my husband worked with her before me. She was very special and a very kind loving woman. Prayers to all.
I am sorry for your loss, I often spoke to Irmgard. while she was sitting near the fireplace when I visited my mother at the Sharmar. I am sure she will be missed.
