Irene Mary Espinoza, 73, passed away Oct. 19, 2021. Survived by her daughter, Yvette (Brian) Barela; grandson, Nathan (Eric) Cordova; granddaughter, Melanie Cordova; siblings, Aurelio J. Bachicha, Jr., Richard Bachicha, Marcella Pacheco, Donna Christopherson, Brina Wilder, Joe Bachicha, Dora Bowman, Genevieve (Ron) Nunez, Millie (Rocky) Miranda and Jerry (Emily) Bachicha; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Roger J. Espinoza; parents, Aurelio and Fede Bachicha; and sister, Nellie Alaniz. Irene was born on Aug. 7, 1948, in Pueblo and was a cook at Dillards ‘Chili Inn’ Restaurant for 36 years until it closed in 2012. She enjoyed camping, gardening, concerts, crafts, cooking for everyone she knew, shopping and listening to Tex Mex and Oldies. Irene especially loved spending time with her family. I will forever treasure the great times we shared working together at Dillard’s (Joslin’s). Our friendship meant so much to me! The many fun times we had at “the Cove,” were priceless. I looked forward to our Thanksgiving phone call every year. You made a Wonderful difference in my life my friend. Rejoice In Paradise!

Irene, a one of ‘kind’ lady. Always helping at a drop of hat. Great cook. She was very thoughtful, helping me with my mom. Calling and making sure we were doing good. Dropping me many funny text messages to cheer me. You’re going to be missed by too many. You’re gone too soon. Prayers & condolences to family. 😢
