Irene Mary Espinoza, 73, passed away Oct. 19, 2021. Survived by her daughter, Yvette (Brian) Barela; grandson, Nathan (Eric) Cordova; granddaughter, Melanie Cordova; siblings, Aurelio J. Bachicha, Jr., Richard Bachicha, Marcella Pacheco, Donna Christopherson, Brina Wilder, Joe Bachicha, Dora Bowman, Genevieve (Ron) Nunez, Millie (Rocky) Miranda and Jerry (Emily) Bachicha; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Roger J. Espinoza; parents, Aurelio and Fede Bachicha; and sister, Nellie Alaniz. Irene was born on Aug. 7, 1948, in Pueblo and was a cook at Dillards ‘Chili Inn’ Restaurant for 36 years until it closed in 2012. She enjoyed camping, gardening, concerts, crafts, cooking for everyone she knew, shopping and listening to Tex Mex and Oldies. Irene especially loved spending time with her family. I remember stopping at Dillard’s to eat because you were cooking there and you would always come out and talk to me. You are going to missed dearly. Your friend Shorty.
