Hortencia 'Tia' S. Rodriguez

Hortencia 'Tia' Samaniego Rodriguez, 92, went home to be with her Lord and family members who preceded her in death on Sunday, March 10, 2013. Survived by grandson, Gus M. (Ally) Rodriguez III of Manhattan, Kans.; great-grandchildren, Alex, Stephanie, Elan and Miranda Rodriguez; niece, Olivia Carol (Gene) Meek of Colorado City, Colo.; nephews, Carlos A. (Virginia) Samaniego and Armando L. (Martha) Samaniego, all of El Paso, Texas; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Gustavo Rodriguez, Sr.; son, Gustavo Rodriguez, Jr.; brother and sister-in-law, Carlos A. and Olivia R. Samaniego; sister and brother-in-law, Carolina A. Samaniego Hunnicutt and Kenneth W. Hunnicutt. Tia was born September 20, 1920, in El Paso, Texas, to Agustine C. Samaniego and Carolina Artalejo Samaniego. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, camping, ranching, especially her horses and dogs. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial Mass at a later date in El Paso, Texas.
