Herman joined his wife, Marjory, in heaven on June 4, 2015. Their love story lasted for over 53 years. They were blessed with four daughters. Herman and Marjory raised their family on a dairy farm in upstate New York. The farm has a thousand memories for their children and grandchildren. Later, in Herman's retirement years, he enjoyed gardening, woodworking and being surrounded by his family.
Herman was born to Herman and Amelia Diekow on April 23, 1919. He had ten brothers and sisters, Amelia, Ruth, Martha, Hank, William, Alvin, Carl, Emma, Alice and Arthur.
Herman is survived by his children, Carol (Ron), Karen (Earl), Jude (Herm) and Christine (John). Also, by his twelve grandchildren, Jim (Kathy), Darryl (Arlene), Brian (Deneen) Kevin (Amy), Rick (Missy), Steve, Tyson, Justin (Laura), Heather (Don), Deborah, Gordon (Eberly), Johanna (Mike); and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery at noon Friday, June 26, 2015. Memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at Mountain View Park in Canon City.
I miss you every day. Thank you for always being there.
I could not have asked for better In-laws than Herman and Morjorie Diekow.
