Herbert 'Jim' Weston, 72, passed away April 20, 2006. Survived by his wife, Shirley Anne Weston, of the family home; children, Aletia (Daniel) Prevo of San Diego, Calif., Matthew Weston of San Diego, Calif., Mark Weston of Arcata, Calif., Megan Weston of New York City; stepchildren, John (Theresa) Craddock of Castle Rock, Colo., Mark (Geri) Craddock of Walsenburg, Colo., David (Sandra) Craddock of Pueblo West, Colo., Matthew (Stacie) Craddock of Brighton, Colo.; brother, Robert (Diane) Weston of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, Sean, Kathrine, and Erin Prevo; step-grandchildren, Cassandra, James, Jacqueline, Kristin, Stephanie, Lindsay, Ashley, Troy, Anniston, Carlee and Alexis Craddock; and cousin, Carolyn (Mark) Valdez of Pueblo. Preceded in death by his parents and grandmother, Nellie Durkin. Jim was born on July 13, 1933, to Herbert Weston and Mary Mantey-Weston in Pueblo, Colo. He joined the U.S. Army where he became a paratrooper with the 82nd airborne unit. Jim was a member of the Pueblo County Historical Society, Pueblo Aircraft Museum and St. Patrick Catholic Church. At his request there will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial Mass will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at St. Patrick Church, 226 Michigan St., with the Reverend Father Ben Bacino as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of food and flowers, those who wish may make memorials to American Cancer Society, through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, Colo. 81003. Hey, sorry for the loss, randomly stumbled across this, he had the same name as my grandfather, whom also was in the Military, WW2 he doped bombs from the planes instead of parachuting from them, he and went to become a doctor, and was a very generous person always wanting the best for everyone. My grandfather and this man are heroes that will be remembered forever. I ended up here googling my name, their is some uncanny names going on in this family and mine, I’ll just say my grandpa, father shares and I share first, middle and last names with the family, crazy.
