Henry J. Skoczen, 86, passed away Feb. 8, 2011. Survived by his wife, Toni Skoczen; children, Randall (Pam) Skoczen of Gilbert, Ariz. and Cynthia Frisby of Pueblo; son-in-law, Ron Passero of Pueblo West; grandchildren, Bret (Tammy) Parks, Elizabeth Frisby, Charlotte (Todd) Swank and Steven Skoczen; and great-grandchildren, Griffin Parks, Morgan Parks, Isabelle Swank, Chelsie Frisby, Brittney Frisby, Gage Markgraf and Jordan Markgraf. Preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Skoczen; brothers, Edward, Albert and John Skoczen; and sister, Melanie Valentin. Henry was born to Anton and Domicella Skoczen on Feb. 21, 1924, in Rockvale, Colo. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. He retired as a supervisor at CF&I in 1983, after 43 years of service. Henry enjoyed tropical fish, fishing, fly tying, gardening, stamp and coin collecting. Member of Central Christian Church and Optimist Club. He also volunteered at District 60 schools. Viewing from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Service, 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at Central Christian Church, 1902 N. Hudson, with the Rev. Dr. David Chambers officiating. Entombment, Imperial Memorial Gardens.
