Helen N. Thomson, 91, passed away Feb. 17, 2012. Survived by her daughters, Kathrine Thomson and Karen (Michael) O' Meara, both of Pueblo; grandchildren, Mark Tensley, Charles O'Meara and Ian (Pamela) Fowler. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. 'Tommy' Thomson; son, Laurence Thomson; sisters, Sally Nowocin and Bertha Gardygen; brothers, Joe, Eddie and Emil Nowocin; and son-in-law, Patrick Tensley.
Helen was born Nov. 17, 1920, in Buffalo, N.Y. to John and Bertha Nowocin. She served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and stated those years were the happiest years of her life. She devoted her life to her family. Helen volunteered at Belmont Elementary where she was known as 'Grandma Thomson.' She also arranged for bus transportation for the Therapy Center and was a former member of Assistance League.
There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Service, 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel.
