Helen E. Maestas, 84, passed away into glory on June 10, 2016. Survived by children, Leslie Sandoval, Kathleen (Dave) Manzanares, Sharen (Fred) Vigil, Karen (Bill) Cruz, Vivian (Frank) Vidana and David Lucero; 19 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and sister, Lupe Algien. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Manuel 'Tex' Lucero, Jr.; son-in-law, Donaciano Sandoval, Jr.; grandson, Donaciano Sandoval III; and brothers, Louis, Ben and Mervin. Helen was born to Andrew and Aurelia Olguin in Pueblo 'Smelter Hill,' Colo. and worked as a dietary assistant at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital. Helen enjoyed her gardening and the love of her grandchildren. Viewing, 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Service, 10 a.m. Wednesday at Praise Assembly of God, 2000 Troy Avenue.
