Helen A. Vigil July 25, 1916 - June 30, 2011 Preceded in death by husband, Reuben Vigil. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Arlene and Norm Kramer, Monument, Colo.; grandchildren, Mark (Lisa) Sutton, Zionsville, Ind., Paula (Carl) Otholt, Spokane, Wash., Darla (Brian) Miller, Parker, Colo., Gregg Kramer, Greeley, Colo., Gayle (John) Cochrane, Encinitas, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Jillian and Keegan Sutton; Monica Otholt, U.S. Air Force, Aviano, Italy, Hayley Otholt, Megan, Emilie and Bryson Miller; brother-in-law, Bill (Toni) Vensor; sisters-in-law, Carmen Baca, Sharon Vensor and Amy Chavez; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Helen graduated from Trinidad High School and attended business college. Helen was the youngest and the remaining member of her family. She was preceded in death by parents, Juan Bautista and Pablita Aragon, pioneer ranchers from Torres, Colo.; brothers, Tobias (Solome), Claude (Adeline), Zolio (Lena), Andrew (Helen), Pete (Eva); sisters, Corina Aragon, Aurelia (Andres) Romero, Mercedes (Ted) Vallejos; mother-in-law, Adela Vigil Vensor; father-in-law, Pedro Vigil; sister-in-law, Eva (Albino) Vensor; brother-in-law, Malcolm Vensor. Helen and Reuben Vigil owned and operated two small grocery stores, Central Grocery and Prairie Avenue Grocery. Later Helen worked for Pueblo School District #60. After retirement, Helen worked as a Gray Lady volunteer for more than 20 years at Corwin Hospital. Helen loved family gatherings, reading and traveling. She was active in sorority, several clubs and her church. Viewing and rosary, 6 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2011, at Montgomery & Steward Funeral Home; Mass, 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at Holy Family Church, 2827 Lakeview Ave. Burial at Imperial Cemetery in Pueblo.
