Guy 'David' Miller, 41, passed away June 19, 2009. Survived by his parents, Norma & Harrison Miller; sisters, Cindy (Don) Roberson and Sandy (Chuck) Miller; brothers, Steven (JoAnn) Miller and Dwight (Darlene) Miller; nieces and nephews, Mike (Amber) Roberson, Amanda (Chris) Hidy, Hunter and Tyler Miller; aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends. Dave is also survived by the Portillos family who all considered and loved him as part of their family; Georgia Portillos, Jerry (Becky) Portillos and family, Louie Portillos, and Corrine and Chris Leger. Preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Born to Harrison and Norma Miller, Nov. 13, 1967, in Pueblo, Colorado. Dave graduated in 1986 from East High School. He held various jobs in different trades throughout his life. He worked at Rocky Mountain Steel Mill as a crane operator and recently just started in the sheet metal trade. Dave was a skilled welder and craftsman and enjoyed working with his hands. Dave loved to fish and play golf. He enjoyed helping others whenever he could. Dave was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association. There will be no viewing. Memorial service, 11 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2009, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. In lieu of food and flowers the family respectfully request memorials may be made to The Guy David Miller Memorial Fund through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N.   1. I knew Dave for many years he was a kind and caring person, he will always be a part of the portillos family everytime I saw him he would always give a big hug and ask me how my day was he will always remain in our hearts. We miss you Dave.

We accepted David into our family, we shared many special holidays and hold beautiful memories of him that I’ll always remember. I found Christmas pictures of him opening his presents, and how I remember the laughter we shared. We laughed so hard when he opened his big white tennis shoes and his can crusher, but he loved his presents. I will always remember his great sense of humor and his smile. God Bless

    My sister and I were lucky enough to grow up next door to your family and have ready made big brothers for us to learn from. I will always remember David teaching us to play everything and always making time for us. I still remember breaking many of your garage windows playing whiffle ball with David and Dwight and I have passed all those stories to my own kids. I will forever keep those memories with me.     It was the Saturday before that I had to smile as I drove past the Portillos family home and saw Jerry mowing the lawn and David standing outside with him. May God rest and bring peace to his soul.
