Maria Erlinda Gloria Simms “Glory” was 81 years old when she passed away on October 4, 2021.  She is survived by her daughter, Debra Taylor (Debbie), granddaughter, Brenda Biggerstaff, grandson, Jason Biggerstaff, great-grandson, Lathen Biggerstaff and stepsons, Jeff Simms, Bill Simms, Don Simms, John Simms and their families.  Preceded in death by husband, Dick Simms, mother, Margaret Pullum, stepfather, Thurman Pullum and Grandmother Margaret Garcia.  Glory was born July 12, 1940 in Ortiz, CO.  She worked at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital for 45+ years as an operating room nurse.  She enjoyed site seeing, the outdoors, traveling, taking photos, painting, gardening in her flower beds, spending time with family, crossword puzzles, MSNBC, dancing, cooking meals for her family and friends and entertaining at her home.  She was a member of the Pueblo County Democratic Party.  She was cremated at Montgomery & Steward Crematorium.  The service will take place at 1:00p.m. on October 13, 2021, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel (1317 N Main St, Pueblo, CO 81003).  Reception will follow the service in the Montgomery & Steward Banquet Hall. Memorials may be made to The Reverend Roger Patrick Dorcy Cancer Center,  (at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital) 1008 Minnequa Ave., Pueblo, CO 81004.
